More Branding

Socrates have been appointed to evolve the identity of Resolution Property’s Moretown office destination. Set east of St Katharine Docks near Tower Bridge, London, we have delivered a new brand approach, and are in the throes of creating a new website, presentation materials and a refresh of the estate’s signage and wayfinding.

Socrates Goes Brazilian

In collaboration with Copper Beech Consultancy, we were thrilled to be appointed to develop a name, brand and visual language for a new private members club, Maroto in London’s Marylebone. Inspired by the rich colours and eclectic culture of Brazil, the new venue opens imminently.

Piecing YY Together

June brought a puzzle to solve as we embarked on creating an innovative mailer to support the launch of YY London. Evangelising Quadrant’s remarkable headquarters opportunity in Canary Wharf, the 250-piece wooden jigsaw features an intricate and bespoke illustration by Allan Deas. We hope recipients (and their children) have had fun piecing it all together.

Sustainability and Merchandising

As merchandising remains a contentious topic, our latest Field Guide attempts to unpick the debate of how best to produce effective and responsible merchandising. Whilst far too big a topic to cover comprehensively, we hope it encourages us all to question how best to bring branded products into the arms of the consumer, without damaging both the planet and its people in the process.

Oxford Street Reimagined

Following a creative pitch to Ramsbury and Capital Rep, we are delighted to have kicked off our latest project at central London’s 334 Oxford Street. Including creation of a new brand and supporting language, we hope our campaign solution will evangelise the building’s impressive architecture and important role within Oxford Street’s wider regeneration.

Rounders and Rosé

We once again celebrated our annual Socrates Picnic with a superb spread from bespoke picnic caterer, Pique. Bringing the whole company together, we enjoyed an array of magnificent food, too much wine, and enthusiastic but dysfunctional rounders – the latter as competitive as ever. A wonderful afternoon.

The studio welcomed a new face this month, with the exciting arrival of Antek Paramo. A graduate from Falmouth University, Antek joins as a Designer, working across everything from brands and branding, to development of digital and presentation media.

Striking Gold

A lovely surprise this month as we have won four awards at the Indigo Design Awards 2023. Recognising “exceptional projects that shine with an uncommon artistry”, we’re honoured that our campaigns for both Campus, Reading International and Belles Feuilles in Paris were recognised amongst so much talent. Achieving success also for our City of London Panorama St Paul’s film, and our own publication, Socrates Editions 3. The pressure is on for next year!

Going Crosstown

We recently partnered with homemade sourdough doughnut company, Crosstown, supporting the leasing efforts of commercial workspace at One Westferry Circus in London’s Canary Wharf. The circular delights reflect that of our visual language, and were hand delivered to agents across the Capital. Hopefully just in time to accompany a much-needed afternoon coffee.

Bringing Florian to Life

We have recently published the holding page for Florian, a 216,000 sq ft headquarters opportunity along Dublin’s renowned Adelaide Road. Set to benefit from a beautiful canal-side location and superb terracing, the brand is inspired by the colours and shapes of Dublin’s native flora and fauna.

As part of our ongoing work for a brand new destination in Montego Bay, Jamaica, we enjoyed another trip to the blue skies and beaches. This time for a film and photography shoot to support the development of online and offline collateral, we hope to find an excuse to return again soon.

Wining on a Monday

This month’s Dialogue brought us back into the spirit, with another wine tasting from Brinkley’s Susan Harper. Talking all things wines of Alsace and the places next door, Susan’s trips to the office are becoming a firm favourite. A huge thank you to Susan for once again broadening our minds – and palettes!

Pairing Up

It seems good news comes in twos, as we are thrilled to have been appointed by W.RE on their latest projects: 25 Argyll Street and 20 Grafton Street. Offering the best of Regent Street and Mayfair, both are based in London, and we are well underway with the creation of associated brands and collateral.

We have recently launched a new film for YY London, showcasing the spectacular 415,00 sq ft headquarters in Canary Wharf, all whilst still under construction. Featuring choreography by Artistic Director of Rambert, Benoit Swan Pouffer and performed by his world-renowned team, it showcases the various spaces with the sense of energy and relevance that its tenants will provide in the future.
