Socrates are thrilled to have received two commendations at the recent Agency Design Awards. Blackstone’s CARGO campaign was commended in the Integrated Creative Campaign category, and we received a commendation in the Graphic Design for Communication category for Far East Constortium’s Aspen literature. A huge thank you to both clients for the opportunity, and another reason to smile at the end of January.
We are delighted to have started the year with wins at the International Design Awards. Celebrating worldwide design talent, Socrates achieved a silver award for Lendlease’s Park & Sayer development and a bronze award for Generale Continentale Investissements’ Belles Feuilles literature.
We have recently been appointed by Tellon Capital on their exciting new project, 40 Broadway. On the cusp of St. James’s Park in central London, the fully redeveloped building will offer up to 115,000 sq ft of contemporary workspace that both enhances the existing streetscape while respecting the area’s wonderful heritage.
Kickstarting the year with positivity, Socrates have won at the International Design Awards 2021. We are strengthening our studio team with the recent arrival of Josh Wijsveld. Josh joins as a Designer, and will offer particular expertise in the world of animation. He is already proving to be a wonderful addition.
Socrates were delighted to welcome Simon Berry, former Chairman of wine merchants, Berry Brothers & Rudd. Simon gave an amusing and fascinating talk on his experiences of responding to the opportunities of the worldwide web in the 1990s – all made even sweeter by finally being able to hold a Dialogue in person!
We have recently welcomed the wonderful Millie Middleton to the Socrates digital and social media team. Joining as an Assistant Project Manager, Millie will work on the development and management of campaigns, alongside coordinating content on new and existing websites.
We have recently published the full website for One Westferry Circus at the heart of London’s Canary Wharf. Inspired by the building’s striking curved façade, the website features a commissioned local area map, 360 views and animated page transitions that reflect the circular brand identity.
We are delighted to have recently welcomed Olivia Sykes to Socrates. A Masters student from the University of Edinburgh, Olivia joins as an Assistant Project Manager specialising in the digital team. She will be particularly involved in website strategy and development, alongside related online marketing programmes.
Socrates have recently completed and begun circulating our latest Field Guide, No.5, on the basics of registering Trade Marks. Ever important in the constantly evolving consumer world, the guide seeks to demystify the often complex and lengthy process, particularly when seeking protection both in the UK and overseas.
We have recently published the full website for Starwood’s South Bank Central. At the heart of one of London’s most creative districts, the building comprises 58,000 sq ft of next-generation workspace, an impressive communal roof garden and exciting retail opportunity. Evangelised through a vibrant and dynamic website, the design also includes a community page, events calendar and occupier portal.
Socrates were recently commissioned by Frasers Property to develop a series of short films for their Wandsworth district of Riverside Quarter. Situated on the banks of the River Thames, London, the day-in-the-life film evangelises how the area has evolved and now offers a remarkable lifestyle marrying parks, a multitude of engaging retailers and a wide range of restaurants and street food markets.
We were delighted to be appointed to develop a new magazine for the exclusive enclave in Andalucia, Sotogrande. Highlighting the diverse attractions of polo, golf, sailing, equestrianism, the astonishing new Beach at La Reserva, the towns, cities and gastronomy of the region, it also draws attention to the remarkable homes that are now being created.
Socrates have recently been appointed by global developer Lendlease, to deliver a suite of printed collateral for the final phase of their residential canalside development Potato Wharf, in central Manchester. Directed at both a local and international market, there is particular emphasis on the undoubted attractions of the Castelfield and Spinningfield districts.
