Socrates are thrilled to announce that we will be working with the Edge team once again for their newest venture, EDGE Shoreditch. Developed in collaboration with Mitsui Fudosan, the project will deliver a mixed-use building that embraces the key principles of all Edge developments: design, sustainability, technology and wellbeing.
Part of our wider knowledge-transfer programme, this month’s Lexicon was delivered by Paul Winter from Identity Print. Bringing all manner of printed items, it was a refreshingly analogue way of presenting as Paul talked through his understanding of the industry, how it has evolved and where it’s headed. A designer’s dream.
We were delighted to be joined by Lucia Kopacikova for this month’s Dialogue. It’s all too easy to judge a book by its cover, but Lucia’s journey from rural Slovakia to global modelling success was both captivating to listen and truly impressive. A huge thank you to Lucia for taking us through her story – and all accompanied by her delicious homemade biscuits too.
The digital team has expanded this November with the arrival of Phoebe Sindall. Working closely with Hermione Foster, armed with a keen eye for detail and a passion for organisation, Phoebe will offer a fresh perspective to many of our digital projects.
October was a proud month for Socrates as we celebrated our fifteenth anniversary. Suitably returning to our roots in Chelsea, we celebrated with a small internal gathering and were delighted that illustrator Brian Grimwood was able to create a bespoke Socrates print for us all to proudly display at home. Thank you as ever to everyone who has been part of the journey.
Socrates are delighted to have recently been appointed by BC Partners and Simten on their exciting new mixed-used development at One Museum Street in Central London. The project delivers contemporary workspace, 44 homes and new retail, and we are currently in the throes of creating a new brand and associated campaign collateral.
We have had the pleasure of working once again with celebrated contemporary dance company, Rambert in the pursuit of an engaging new film for prime property management company, Caroline Baker. Socrates were briefed to further develop the Jacana brand suite with the packaging and point-of-sale for the Company’s new wellness range launch in the US. Jacana is a Jamaican product and arguably the only organisation that curates its brand from seed to store.
We were delighted to be joined once again by nutritionist and Be Well Collective founder, Sarah Ann Macklin for October’s Dialogue. Talking all things mood and food, we explored the relationships between the way that we eat, the social interactions that we have and their wider impact on our mental wellbeing. More food for thought indeed.
Socrates is delighted to have completed the new brand and visual language for Jamaican real estate group LCH Developments. Headquartered in Montego Bay, the company’s most significant current project is the substantial new residential-led mixed-use estate overlooking the spectacular marine reserve in the Bay.
Socrates have long-standing relationships in Paris and we are thrilled to be back on the Eurostar to work once again with the leading real estate investment and development company, GCI. Appointed to bring their latest significant commercial project in La Défense to life. It is expected to launch during the course of 2024.
September’s Dialogue brought a familiar and well-loved face to Socrates as we were captivated by the life journey of photographer, Andres Reynaga. From his upbringing in Peru to working on surprising, and perhaps controversial campaigns, he also touched on some of the remarkable work of his family’s charity in Peru.
We have recently been appointed to develop the visual language and positioning for Bossa, a modern Brazilian restaurant in Vere Street, central London. This involves a phased review of the online presence, alongside evangelising the compelling narrative of the ingredients and flavours, the wines and passionate knowledge of the whole team. We highly recommend the scallops!

An 140,000 sq ft headquarters opportunity adjacent to Southwark Cathedral near London Bridge, we’re thoroughly enjoying bringing the prime riverside workspace to life.
