Precious Cargo

Transforming into a warehouse once more, we recently packaged and distributed a series of mailers for Blackstone’s CARGO development. Supporting ongoing marketing efforts, branded umbrellas, water bottles and coffee cups have been gracing the targeted agency community over the past few months.

An ODD Win

ODD by Brian Griffin is the third publication in our Socrates Editions series of limited edition publications. We’re now proud to say this is an award-winning piece of work, achieving a Gold award at the recent New York Muse Creative Awards 2022. We are particularly thrilled to have apparently done Brian’s extraordinary and consistently compelling photography justice!

We are thrilled to have welcomed Kate Strawson to the Socrates team. Joining as Studio Manager, Kate will liaise with our studio, strategy, project teams and the Head of Studio to further assist in ensuring an efficient and effective working practice. She is already a remarkable asset.

Socrates have won once again at the Muse Creative Awards. Achieving success with the brand campaign for Blackstone’s CARGO office development in London’s Canary Wharf, we also won a gold award for our use of illustration to assist with the leasing of Tristan Capital Partner’s Campus, Reading International development. A happy March all round.

We are delighted to have been shortlisted – or maybe longlisted – at this year’s Fedrigoni Awards. The only award in the world that celebrates graphic designers, printers and customers using Fedrigoni paper stocks and products; Socrates Editions 2 and 3 have both achieved success in the publishing category. Judged in Verona, Italy, in the coming months, we would like to say a huge thank you to Brian Grimwood and Brian Griffin for the opportunity to curate each Edition with them. Here’s hoping for more good news later in the year.

Peterboroughs & Courts

Following a creative pitch, Socrates are thrilled to have been appointed on Broadwater Capital’s Peterborough Court. The real estate advisory and finance firm will deliver over 300,000 sq ft of central London workspace, and we are in the throes of developing a new brand and campaign that articulates the building’s vibrant location.

A New Muse

We are thrilled to have won at this year’s Muse Creative Awards based in New York. Achieving success with two films in the ‘Glimpses of The Glebe’ series, each was created to assist in the sale of nine exquisite private residences at the heart of old Chelsea in central London. Socrates developed two specialist films, ‘The Dress’ and ‘The Party’, both of which received Platinum awards in the film category. A huge thank you to Orion Capital Managers for the opportunity.

Socrates have recently been appointed by Global Holdings Management Group on their contemporary office development, Eden House in central London. Set to deliver c.57,000 sq ft of Grade A workspace at the heart of Spitalfields, we look forward to developing a new brand.

Holbein Gardens Bloom

Socrates have recently launched the brand campaign and full website for Holbein Gardens, a 26,000 sq ft office development at the heart of Chelsea, London. As Grosvenor’s most sustainable project to date, the brand is inspired by the rich tapestry of the local area, the building’s vibrant history and its impressive environmental savings.

Panoramas of St Paul’s

Socrates are pleased to have been appointed on the branding and marketing of Orion Capital Manager’s significant and substantial project at 81 Newgate Street. At the heart of the City of London, the 556,000 sq ft building sits adjacent to St Paul’s Cathedral; the crowning glory of which is a remarkable roof terrace with extraordinary views over the capital.

Wine Down Wednesday

Held monthly, Dialogue is a series of talks by external speakers on a wide variety of topics to the Socrates team and its guests. This month, we were delighted to welcome Susan Harper of Brinkley’s Wines who provided an engaging layman’s overview and tasting of eight wines from Burgundy.

Commended Indeed

Socrates are thrilled to have received two commendations at the recent Agency Design Awards. Blackstone’s CARGO campaign was commended in the Integrated Creative Campaign category, and we received a commendation in the Graphic Design for Communication category for Far East Constortium’s Aspen literature. A huge thank you to both clients for the opportunity, and another reason to smile at the end of January.

We are delighted to have started the year with wins at the International Design Awards. Celebrating worldwide design talent, Socrates achieved a silver award for Lendlease’s Park & Sayer development and a bronze award for Generale Continentale Investissements’ Belles Feuilles literature.
