Lamb and Mint

Socrates was commissioned by Blackstone to create an engaging mailer for their office investment which sits on the corner of Central London’s Lamb’s Conduit Street. Respecting the neighbouring street name, Socrates worked with local chefs to produce a branded mint sauce and created informative packaging to accompany.

Socrates Appoints Directors

Socrates have appointed three new directors to the Company’s board. Head of Design, Mark Scott, Head of Digital, Victoria Oliver and Account Director Oliver Dadak. They have all worked closely with principal Andrew Derrick for many years and will be supported in management by Associate Directors, Bambi Montgomery, Kerrie Davis and Corina Sabou.

Frasers Property requested a new advertising campaign to focus on waterside lifestyle for their substantial development at Riverside Quarter in London’s Wandsworth. Socrates worked with fashion photographer Elizabeth Gibson and the face of the development, Russian model Katya Averyanova, to deliver images for the campaign.

Lots of News

Socrates revisited the design and editorial content of the regular Lot’s Road Auction’s online newsletter that is sent each month to some 25,000 recipients. The subject of a current television programme, Socrates has been responsible for much of the content and distribution for the last five years.

Discrete and specialised concierge company Caroline Baker approached Socrates to redesign their marketing literature for both the company itself and the introductory collateral for their new operation looking after the resident’s on one of Kensington’s most exclusive new addresses.

Residential Media Relations

Socrates have been appointed to assist the client’s in-house team is delivering a media relations programme to support the marketing of the residential elements at King’s Cross. Socrates has been closely involved in much of the residential within the project over the last five years including the marketing of ArtHouse, Tapestry and The Plimsoll Building.

Newspaper Conduit

To promote their major office refurbishment in Midtown, Blackstone commissioned Socrates to evangelise the hive of creativity and individuality that is Lamb’s Conduit Street. Socrates produced the first of a quarterly local area newspaper, commissioning photography and interviews which introduce the numerous independent shops, boutiques and cafes.

Socrates are delighted to announce that Jonah Swabey has joined the company. With significant qualifications in both design and marketing, Jonah will be working alongside Head of Production, Bambi Montgomery, to manage the studio and take responsibility for traffic management.

Offices Online

Blackstone have appointed Socrates to develop a full CMS responsive website for their office investment, Lacon House. The building which expands over eleven floors, including a roof terrace and health and fitness suite, totals to 215,000 sq ft of exceptional office space and will be available from Q1 2016.

More Space

Socrates have extended their offices at Stephendale Yard, adding meetings rooms and increased design studio facilities into the adjoining building that became available earlier in the year. This has allowed for a dedicated studio, administration offices and allows for the imminent arrival of the QLDG design and account management team from France.

Hanging Pictures

Orion Capital, the company behind the Canaletto residential development above the City of London, commissioned Socrates to develop the next phase of the advertising campaign based on the theme of pictures and masterpiece. The photography was taken by Elizabeth Gibson at studios in west London.

Socrates have been commissioned by Sir John Beckwith’s Pacific Investments to develop a piece of literature illustrating the Group’s residential, hotel and leisure experience over the last 40 years across the globe. Activity has included apartments in London’s Knightsbridge, hotels in Paris, San Diego and Atlanta , residential towers in Hong Kong and remarkable individual homes in the Far East, France and the UK.

Marketing Melford

Socrates was appointed by fund management group Melford Capital to develop a name, brand and visual language for a substantial new mixed-use redevelopment in the town centre close to London’s Heathrow Airport. Informed by the local history of the town and its relationship to the signing of the Magna Carta, the new Charter Square combines a nod to history whilst embracing the future.

Filming King’s Cross

Socrates was responsible for developing a series of films for the residential elements at the vast King’s Cross development, particularly focusing on the architects and architecture, the lifestyle and the refurbishment work being undertaken to the area’s iconic gasholder frames.
