We are currently in the throes of distributing our latest Edition, ‘The Homes of Dionysus’. Exploring London’s renowned theatre scene through the intricate illustrations of the remarkable Robbie Polley, the publication is complemented by related anecdotes from former Berry Bros & Rudd chairman and theatre freak, Simon Berry. We hope it is a welcome addition to the coffee table.

Sleepless in Socrates

Joined once again by nutritionist and founder of the Be Well Collective, Sarah Ann Macklin, the aim of this month’s Dialogue was to send us to sleep. Addressing the usual issues of caffeine and screens, Sarah Ann talked through circadian rhythms, how to find your chronotype and the small steps that we can all take to sleep sounder.

Following appointment by Greencore Construction, we are delighted to have been delving into all things climate positive homes in the last few months. With a new brand and associated collateral underway, the overarching aim is to develop a visual identity that expresses Greencore’s ambition to deliver modern, comfortable and healthy homes, designed for the future.

Three’s A Charm

Socrates are thrilled to enter the New Year with three mentions at the International Design Awards. Achieving accolades for Orion Capital Managers’ Sotogrande magazine and Panorama St Paul’s film, we are also pleased to have also won for our own in-house publication, Socrates Editions with Brian Griffin. Here’s hoping we can continue the success into the rest of the year.

Licencing & Typefaces

As licencing of typefaces is becoming increasingly important in our day-to-day agency lives, our latest Field Guide seeks to explain and demystify the process. Being distributed far and wide this month, we hope it helps to open the conversation on the importance of crediting type designers and foundries in much the same way as we credit artists, photographers and illustrators.

London’s First Skyscraper

We are delighted to have been appointed by St Martins Property Group on their latest project, Adelaide House. The Grade II listed, riverside office development was once the tallest building in the City of London, and we look forward to developing a new brand, visual language, and associated collateral in the coming months.

Life in Cambridge

Socrates are delighted to have been appointed by Berwick Hill Properties to name and brand their significant new life sciences project close to Cambridge town centre. It promises to be one of the most conveniently located life science complexes in this increasingly important university research and development hub.

We’re thrilled to have been appointed by St Martins Property Group on their exciting new office building, 16 St Martin’s Le Grand. Moments away from St Paul’s in central London, the building benefits from a rich history and beautiful Grade II listed architecture.

Refreezing the Arctic

With global environmental stats ever horrifying, we were pleased to be approached by Refreeze the Arctic Foundation to help develop their brand and website. An extraordinary initiative that will aim to reduce the global temperature rise and crucially buy us more time, we hope the website will aid them to further progress and promote their critical research efforts.

Appointed by Revantage on their latest development in Birmingham, we are thrilled to be in the throes of developing a new brand and website for The Colemore Building. At the heart of Birmingham’s main business district, we have thoroughly enjoyed digging our teeth into the land of the Bull!
